Sara Ascari

I grew up in Minnesota and moved to Reggio Emilia in 2019. I fell in love with languages when I took Spanish classes as a young girl and I had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain and Mexico. There was something very exciting about being able to communicate with people from all different backgrounds. I really enjoy sharing my passion for languages and culture with my students.

Throughout my teaching career, I have taught both Spanish and English. I have been teaching for more than 10 years, and I received a Masters in Instruction from Minnesota and a TEFL certificate. I have especially enjoyed teaching teenagers, because they are very curious about the world and growing in their independence. I have taught both middle school and high school students as a licensed teacher.

Along with teaching, I have a Bachelor of Accounting and I worked as an accountant specializing in auditing, real estate, and finance. Teaching Business English has allowed me to combine my passion for the English language, while helping students strengthen their business skills at the same time.

When I am not teaching, I spend my time exploring the world, cooking, swimming, dancing salsa, and relaxing with my family.
